Of kings and queens

After supper…
RK: Mommy, is this how you spell king? (he showed me the paper where he wrote KING.)
Mom: Yes, how did you know?
After a few seconds he came back to me in the kitchen sink.
RK: Is this how you spell queen? (He showed me the same paper where he added the letters QING)
Mom: Oh no, queen is spelled differently. It’s Q-U-E-E-N
RK: Oh! Then how do you read this? (pointing to QING)
Mom: Well, if I read it, it also says king because the Q has a K sound. You need a U to spell queen.
RK: Oh!
