Snowy Day

Now, this looks more like it. This is the winter weather we are familiar with.
It had been snowing all day, 15 to 20 cm of that white stuff.
Doesn’t this look like cotton glued to the evergreens?
These are my tiny little feet trudging through the snow.
Try driving through the roads like these.
Weather forecast for tomorrow – blowing snow. I’m not looking forward to that.

While it seems beautiful for us in hot countries, I can imagine why it’s not so welcoming for you up there.
Lovely photos!

I love snow only for vacation but I couldn’t live with it ! Malamigin kasi ako and my nose is bleeding if it’s too cold ! Just the look of it, it’s really beautiful ! Blowing snow could be dangerous din ba ? Is it the same as falling snow…yong parang cotton when it falls ?

i dont like the blowing snow either… hard to see and walk…
wow! ang dami ng snow diyan… pati nga sa vancouver, where it hardly snow before christmas, is all white too… Toronto na lang yata ang wala pang snow.

when i see snow that thick i always think of skiing, my dream but have not tried or even seen one for real.

Ipanema, snow is beautiful and it’s exciting at first. But the cold weather and hassles associated with it is not so nice.
Karen, hindi naman natuloy ang blowing snow. Congrats to your cousin on the new baby.
Haze, blowing snow can be treacherous. It happens on a windy day and instead of falling directly on the ground, it blows and it can hurt your skin if it hits you in the face. Besides, it’s already hard to walk on a windy day, and then there’s less visibility if there’s also snow blowing around.

JO, I also watched on the news the snow in Vancouver. Very unpredictable talaga ang weather. At least here, we’re equipped for weather like this. Looks like the people in Vancouver were not quite prepared yet for the snow.
Pining, yes we are already shivering in the cold. Thanks for dropping by.
Actually iskoo, this is not thick yet. This is just the beginning. Wait til you see knee deep of snow.

I just hate snow!
Happy there is no snow in the Philippines!
Nov 30, 2006 @ 10:50:29
OMG! Don’t think I could live with that. You and the kids take care navigating the snowy streets. It must be cold over there.

My cousins in Canada were very excited the first time they experienced winter there. Now, they wish they are in the Phils during winter.

i had my first experienced of snow last sunday. i’m from vancouver, i was excited and happy the first time i saw snow. but the following day i got tired of it coz i shoveled the snow off the driveway at my work. and until today i was still shoveling.

I know you do, Sidney.
Toe, it just takes getting used to it. Yeah, it’s cold here now. The temperature had suddenly plummetted down to minus 21. It was minus 31 pa nga last night. Brrr.
Ann, many Filipinos here wish they are in the Phils. during winter. And many do take a vacation this time of year, especially during the Christmas season.
Noypiako, welcome to winter.

I love the second shot, your feet trudging on the snow! Hehehe.

And Christmas is coming, soon!!!

Dec 01, 2006 @ 22:00:52

One question tita, yun bang snow na bumabagsak eh pedeng gawing halo-halo hehe
Dec 01, 2006 @ 22:29:00
Thanks, Kyels. You liked my tiny little feet.
DatuPanot, they must have thought that you have some sort of super powers to walk on snow barefooted and not have your feet frozen.
KD, I think pwede rin. As long as it’s still clean. I haven’t tried it yet though.

nyaks…snow..malapit na rin siguro mag-snow dito sa Toronto, na-fi-feel ko na in the air. Today , just rain and really cold blowing wind. Ingatz kayo.
Dec 03, 2006 @ 05:01:25
I think I won’t be fond of snow. I hate the extreme cold weather but I’d be happy to see and hold real snow even for a minute. Haven’t experienced snow yet.
Dec 03, 2006 @ 18:09:37
I cringe at the sight of snow …. hahahaha! Keep warm, Irene!
Dec 03, 2006 @ 23:27:15
Thanks, Leah. Maaga ngang mag-snow dito sa Winnipeg.
Abaniko, the sight of snow can really be an exciting experience. Even us old timers here still get excited although we know what comes after this – extreme temperatures.
Ang daya mo kasi Eric. Balik ka na sa NY and join in the fun.
Dec 13, 2006 @ 14:36:34
Wow snow! Mukhang nalalapit na naman dating nyan dito sa Toronto.. Ingat ingat na lang dyan and enjoy
Dec 13, 2006 @ 23:22:00
Thanks, Michelle. I’m pretty sure snow is also coming your way, sooner or later.
